Overmolded Rubber Cookware Handles

RESPONSIVENESS ~ FROM DESIGN TO DELIVERY™

  • Rubber To Metal Made Beautiful
A leading manufacturer of high-end cookware turned to Custom Rubber to assist with the design and manufacture of rubber grips for their complete line. The picture here shows the complete product line with different types of bonding/joining of the molded rubber to the steel handles.

    • A molded rubber handle for a distinctive tea pot; the rubber is bonded to a polished metal stem during vulcanization using heat-activated adhesive.
    • A molded rubber handle for a wok; the rubber handle is bonded to the metal bar but also incorporates mechanical locks (i.e. holes in the metal handle that the rubber flowed through) to further increase the bond.
    • Two small rubber molded handles; one round and one with the customer's logo that are used on the top of the tea pot.  In both cases, the rubber handle is bonded to a small female threaded brass insert that can be bolted to the tea pot lid.
    • A stand-alone silicone rubber handle grip;  designed to fit over the metal handles for all the other standard pots in the product line. Custom Rubber Corp. molded two sizes of the silicone rubber handle, and also packaged the handles using a stretch film on backer board, and boxed 10 handles to a small carton with multiple small cartons going inside the master pack.

The molded rubber parts pictured are not in stock or for sale. These are examples of custom-manufactured products that illustrate Custom Rubber Corp.'s capabilities. Contact us with information on your needs.
