Molded Rubber Bonded to Cast Aluminum

RESPONSIVENESS ~ FROM DESIGN TO DELIVERY™

  • Molded Rubber Bonded to Cast Aluminum Ref: 101474

Our customer is a leader in masonry cutting equipment. The insert is cast aluminum and Custom Rubber Corp. has developed a process to bond the rubber pad during vulcanization. The challenge was to make the mold fit tight enough to pinch off on the areas where no rubber is required, while allowing for the larger tolerances associated with aluminum casting.

The finished part bond between rubber and aluminum is resistant to tearing, water, oils, and is also designed to be left out in the sun for years at a time. The rubber surface allows for just the right amount of friction between the cutting table and the masonry brick - allowing easy positioning, but eliminating the slip and chatter from the vibration of the saw.

The rubber parts pictured are not in stock or for sale. These are examples of custom-manufactured products that illustrate Custom Rubber Corp.'s capabilities.
