This rubber bumper pad is designed with two primary features. First, the surface is grooved in order to take advantage of rubber's cushioning properties. By eliminating material between the grooves, the rubber has more room to flex and absorb the contact—a better rubber bumper.
Second, the rubber bumper has reinforced holes that are countersunk to allow easy bolting of the rubber bumper pad to the metal plate. This design can work well if a large fender washer can be used to distribute the force on the rubber. If that's not possible, Custom Rubber Corp. can encapsulate a fender washer in the rubber bumper.
The molded rubber parts pictured are not in stock or for sale. These are examples of custom-manufactured products that illustrate Custom Rubber Corp.'s capabilities.
