The various rubber molded bumpers pictured here are all used in small compartments on automobiles. Uses include glove box bumpers, bumpers for center arm rest compartments, and other small dashboard compartments. The bumpers all have an extended end that fits through the hole and makes it easy to pull the bumper into place. All the molded rubber bumpers also have a tapered, conical shape that leads into the installation hole - also making it easy to install. The common "grommet" shape with a smaller OD section in the middle keeps the bumper in place.
Custom Rubber Corp. molds these parts with two different parting line configurations, depending on the customer's requirements. Although the parts look small, they are considered cosmetic because when the compartment is open, the "bumper" section of the part is visible to the consumer.
