When Off-The-Shelf Won't Work
Protecting wires as they pass thru sheet metal is critical. If your application is such that a standard, off-the-shelf panel grommet won't work due to space constraints, an odd shaped hole, or an unusual number of wires, Custom Rubber Corp. is the choice for a solution. Pictured here are both D-shaped rubber grommets and round rubber grommets, all custom designed and manufactured for a specific customer.
In some cases, the custom rubber grommet hole has a thin membrane that is slit to allow the wires to pass thru but reduce dust contamination. In other cases, the custom rubber grommet has a slit from the ID hole to the outside - this allows the grommet to be installed over the wires right where it's needed without having to feed them through from the end.
