    Rubber Provides the Safe Cover
A large overhead trolly system requires electrical wire splicing when the installation is for a very large warehouse.  Custom Rubber Corp. provides the protective molded rubber cover pictured here - made from non-conductive rubber - in order to shield and protect the splice from the environment and unintentional contact with a person or piece of metal.

The rubber is molded with a slit down the long side which allows the installer to put it in place after the splice is made, and remove it to work on the splice if necessary.  The slit is designed with a overlap and the ends are tapered to allow for secure fastening on the cable entering and exiting the splice.

Rubber is the ideal material for electrical insulation - it's important to let us know that electrical insulation is a requirement.  Many people don't know that most rubber materials are conductive due to the carbon black content.  In order to make a non-conductive rubber, the material has to be specially formulated.

The molded rubber parts pictured are not in stock or for sale. These are examples of custom-manufactured products that illustrate Custom Rubber Corp.'s capabilities.
