Custom Rubber Corp. and a manufacturer of specialty gas valves primarily for the appliance industry first were introduced when their initial supplier went bankrupt. At that time, the customer chose to move the tools to another rubber molder that promised lower prices and unrealistic deliveries. At that time Custom Rubber Corp. wished them luck.
A few years later, the customer is back. They have been dissatisfied with delivery and quality, and have determined that the all-in price (after receiving inspection and extended lead times) is not as attractive as what Custom Rubber Corp. offered initially.
The customer has 8 tools they transferred, and Custom Rubber Corp. had them all up, approved, and running within a matter of 1-2 weeks.
The rubber parts in question are very small rubber seals that require precision molding and exact deflashing. Custom Rubber Corp. has the appropriate equipment and expertise to do both.
