When a previously existing customer was given a rush order for a rubber radio cable grommet, they immediately called Custom Rubber Corp. In line with its mission of Responsiveness ~ From Design to Delivery, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to meet their need by molding the rubber parts and getting them to the customer as quickly as possible.
In addition to providing a quick response, Custom Rubber Corp. also worked closely with the customer to engineer an ideal rubber material for the molded rubber grommet. Since the part would be exposed to a variety of adverse conditions, the material used in the molding process needed to meet very stringent call-out specifications. By working with the customer to determine the exact role that the grommet would be playing in the radio cable, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to engineer and develop potential rubber compounds that met the customer's requirements. After extensive testing and multiple mold trials, the most cost-effective and functional rubber material was found and the molding process began.
Thanks to its years of rubber design expertise, Custom Rubber Corp. was able to efficiently work through the design and testing processes to quickly produce the needed rubber parts, which meant that the customer was still able to meet their deadlines despite strict material restrictions that could have slowed down the molding process.
