When the manufacturer of high-end audio recording equipment wanted to add a functional and stylish handle to one of their products, they contracted with Custom Rubber Corp. to assist with the design and manufacturing of the molded rubber flat handle pictured here. The handle has slightly slotted attachment holes that allow it to be pressed flat against the equipment when not in use. The raised area around the slots provides the structural support to insure that the hadle out lasts the recording equipment.
At Custom Rubber Corp.'s suggestion, the customer added a nice texture to the part and also included their name, engraved on the handle to increase brand identity and awareness. When designing a custom part, it's important to remember that adding such features as your company name or information on how to re-order the part is all possible.
