Molded Round Seal for Window Fastener
Custom Rubber Corp. worked with a Tier One auotmotive supplier to manufacture a molded rubber seal with a raised ID neck, that is used to protect and seal the rear door glass around the size fasteners. The part relies on PSA (pressure sensative adhesive) for the assembly process; the part is pressed onto the glass in one operation and the PSA holds it in place. The second operation is where the fastener is pressed through the hole and secures the glass in place - at this point the PSA's job is done and the rubber seal stays in place because of the compression between the glass, the fastener, and the mating part.
