Silicone Rubber Medical Instrument Handle

RESPONSIVENESS ~ FROM DESIGN TO DELIVERY™

  • Silicone Rubber Molded Medical Handle Ref: 105511

Another great example of Custom Rubber Corp.'s experience with bonding silicone rubber to aluminum, steel and other substrates. This project was similar to an earlier "pencil" style handle grip but with a slightly different configuration on the metal insert.

In this case, the aluminum insert is threaded on the small diameter end but smooth on the larger ID.  This required a unique mold core that has exposed threads inside the insert after it's threaded onto the smaller ID.  The mold core that plugs the larger smooth ID is screwed into the first mold core.  This allows for a good shutoff and seal on both ends, which insures that no silicone gets into the ID of the part.

The material used meets a Pantone color specification, and both the rubber and the bond will withstand autoclave sterilization easily. Contact Custom Rubber Corp. today for your medical or other handle requirements.
