Rubber Manufacturers in the U.S.A.
I recently read an article in Smart Business Cleveland titled Made in the USA, confirming the trends we have started to see in our industry. Manufacturing in the United States is very much alive and continues to rebound and grow. Custom Rubber Corp. is seeing an increase in business coming back stateside, and new business being sourced domestically. We are working with several companies that chose to manufacture with Custom Rubber Corp. and ship to Europe for assembly instead of producing the part in Europe. Cost control and the ability to source both tooling and raw material locally are a contributing factor for this trend. The Boston Consulting Group found, “...the average manufacturing cost in Germany, Japan, France, Italy and the United Kingdom will be 8 to 18 percent higher than the U.S. by 2015.” Custom Rubber Corp. works tirelessly to maximize the efficiency of tooling, both to maximize output and reduce raw material waste to the lowest levels possible. These efforts, along with constant attention to raw material costs, help keep us competitive and make manufacturing in the U.S. attractive.
