First Article Inspection

PPAP if Required

The First Pieces
After the mold is constructed, Custom Rubber Corp. molds the first rubber parts and puts them through the required testing and compares the parts to the drawings.  This may include:
  • Dimensional confirmation
  • Durometer confirmation
  • Logo and/or texture confirmation
  • Color confirmation
Unless required by the customer, Custom Rubber Corp. provides a detailed "First Article Inspection" Report or FAI that summarizes all the above information.  The report and sample parts are sent to the customer for their approval prior to any production run.

If necessary, Custom Rubber Corp. can provide a complete PPAP per the AIAG standards.  This includes all sections; dimensional, material, warrant, and any special testing.
